Dr. Samuel L. Peters

Founder & Pastor

Dr. Samuel Peters is “a man with a heart for God’s people.” He was ordained as an Elder of the Church of God in Christ in Chicago, IL, by the late Dr. L. H. Ford, the Presiding Bishop. Dr. Peters is a dedicated teacher of God’s Word and has gained valuable experience as the lead pastor of churches in Newbern, TN, and Hayti, MO. Currently, he proudly serves as the pastor of Wonderful Works Deliverance Center, COGIC, in Topeka, KS and Bethlehem COGIC, in Council Grove, KS.

Actively involved in the Topeka community, Dr. Peters, alongside First Lady Sandra Johnson-Peters, oversees 30 community programs. Among these initiatives is Adams Housing, a vital support system for men in the local community. Additionally, there is a weekday after-school program, providing meals, free tutoring, and homework assistance to the youth in the area. These programs have a significant impact throughout the Topeka region.

Dr. Peters firmly believes in the transformative power of the present, stating, "Your Past Does NOT Determine Your Future... It's What You Do, Today, That Determines Your Tomorrow." His passion and commitment to helping and serving others stand as a testament to his dedication to God’s glory.

First Lady

First Lady Peters is a helper of mankind. She takes immense pride in her role as the First Lady, attributing all honor to God for blessing her with this position. Having been saved since the age of 13, her deep commitment to God became more pronounced around the age of 16. First Lady Peters' paramount objective is to please God in all her endeavors, with Jesus being the focal point of her joy.

Living a saved life, for First Lady Peters, is not a burden but a testament. With over 30 years as a part of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), a Pentecostal movement that embraces expressions like dancing, singing, and shouting for God, she is a lively participant when the spirit is high.

Her daily devotion centers around the prayer, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my God, and my redeemer." Should anyone inquire about First Lady, it's important to convey that she is not only saved and sanctified but resiliently navigating life in every situation.

Welcoming everyone to Wonderful Works Deliverance Center COGIC, First Lady Peters extends an open-door policy. She is here to lend a listening ear, engage in conversation, share laughter, or provide comfort during moments of sorrow. Approach her without hesitation, as beneath her exterior, she is genuinely approachable. Remember, First Lady Peters is just a phone call away, always ready and available. Above all, her love extends to the people of God.
